1 to reuse discarded objects or material in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original
Upholstery can in many cases encompass the term “upcycle”. A craftsman can give a new lease of life to a forgotten and unloved piece. Old furniture is generally better made and incredibly durable. Older pieces were created to be reupholstered time and again.
We're not averse to creating folding screens out of discarded wood and old curtains or revamping 1970s brown pouffes.
It is now much more fashionable to fill one's home with bespoke items rather than mass produced or the latest range of flat pack.
We also play our part in helping the environment. To assist in reducing landfill we donate all fabric remnants to our local charity, St Vincent's Hospice.
